Acknowledgement of Risk, Waiver & Consent Form

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.

By participating in this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. The Nature of the Experience

This is an outdoor, lakeside experience taking place in a natural environment, on land and water, under open sky.

Conditions may include uneven ground, wet or slippery surfaces, water access points, insects, vegetation, and changing weather.

You acknowledge that participation is at your own risk, except in cases of proven negligence under UK law.

2. The Experience

This session includes:

• Wood-fired sauna use

• Cold plunge pools and optional fresh air cooling

• Floating sound bath on the lake

• Guided meditation and relaxation

• Optional facial treatment using natural products and essential oils

Participation in all elements is voluntary, and you may stop at any time.

3. Water & Floating Experience

The floating sound bath takes place on the lake using supported inflatable floats.

At no point during this experience is swimming or free dipping in the lake permitted. The lake is used solely for the guided floating element.

​

A trained facilitator will be in the water wearing a wetsuit to assist you safely on and off the floats. You agree to follow all instructions given at all times.

You acknowledge that:

• You are comfortable being in and around open water

• You are responsible for your own safety while entering, exiting, and floating

• You will move carefully and follow guidance from facilitators

Please note that during warmer months, the lake may carry a natural condition known as duck itch, which can cause skin irritation in some individuals. For this reason, we do not recommend swimming in the lake when water temperatures rise.

If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you may leave the water.

4. General & Safe Sauna Usage

• Remove jewellery before entering the sauna

• Do not touch the stove or add logs

• Only pour water using the ladle provided — use caution with steam

• No oils or substances to be added to the stove unless guided by a facilitator

• Stay hydrated throughout

• Take care on wet or uneven surfaces

• Shower before using plunge pools

• Follow all guidance from sauna hosts

Black Swan Sauna is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.

5. Cold Exposure

Cold exposure carries inherent risks.

Plunge pools and fresh air cooling are available as alternatives to lake use. Participation is optional at all times.

6. Facial Treatment & Essential Oils (Optional)

As part of this experience, you may be offered a complimentary facial treatment and essential oil infusion.

By participating, you confirm that:

• You do not have allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients used

• You accept responsibility for your participation in this element

If you have any concerns, please inform a facilitator or opt out.

7. Health & Personal Responsibility

You confirm that:

• You are physically and mentally fit to participate

• You are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol

• You are not pregnant or at risk from heat exposure

• You will seek medical advice if you have any underlying conditions

You agree to listen to your body and take full responsibility for your participation.

8. Sound, Meditation & Relaxation

The floating sound bath and guided meditation are deeply relaxing practices that may affect individuals differently.

By participating, you acknowledge responsibility for your own wellbeing during these elements. You may step away at any time if needed.

9. Respect for Space & Others

This is a shared, mindful experience.

You agree to:

• Follow guidance from facilitators and staff

• Move carefully around fire, water and others

• Respect quiet during the sound bath

• Treat the space, land and participants with care

 

10. Liability Waiver

You agree to release and hold harmless Black Swan Sauna, RE•VIBE, and all facilitators, employees and partners from any liability for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from participation, except in cases of proven negligence under UK law.

 

11. Media Consent (Optional)

Photographs or videos may be taken during the session for promotional use.

If you prefer not to be included, please inform a member of the team on arrival.
